DOES GOOD FOR EVA'S VILLAGE
Doing good is the most important part of what Eva’s Cookies & Brownies was created to do – to help the women, men and women with children at Eva’s Village.
100% of the profits from each Eva’s Cookies & Brownies gift box support the programs at Eva’s Village. That’s why there’s hope in every bite! Each bite helps Eva’s Village provide life changing programs that include the following: Food + Housing | Medical + Recovery | Education + Training
Eva’s Cookies & Brownies: A Path to Progress
Eva’s Cookies & Brownies began as an outgrowth of The Culinary School at Eva’s Village which was established in 2013 to help unemployed people develop the skills needed for a life-long career in the food service industry. The Culinary School is open to the public and is certified as a private vocational school through the New Jersey Department of Education and Department of Labor and Workforce Development. (Call 973-523-6220 ext. 253 for enrollment and other information.)
Soon after opening, the school garnered the interest of Newman’s Own Foundation through the help of Newman’s Own former president, Tom Indoe, who approached the Foundation with a proposal to fund a start-up social enterprise in Paterson. The Amazing Taste of Helping Others forged by the support of Newman’s Own Foundation, led the way to the creation of the for-profit venture, Eva’s Cookies & Brownies. The company donates the profits from each sale to benefit the antipoverty programs of Eva’s Village.
